Template Headers
Template Headers Guide
This guide explains the Template Headers settings in the WordPress Customizer.
Template headers are the title and description sections that appear at the top of specific theme templates, such as the Activity Feed, Members Directory, Blog page, Bulletins, Events, Live Room, and video archive page.
Open the Template Headers Settings
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Header & Navigation in the WordPress dashboard.
- Open Template Headers.
- Update the header options you want to change.
- Click Publish to save the changes.
Activity Feed Header
The Activity Feed header controls the title and description shown at the top of the Activity Feed page.
Available options:
- Show Activity Header
- Activity Header Title
- Activity Header Description
Default text:
- Title: Community Activity
- Description: Stay up to date with what’s happening in the community
When the Activity Feed header is enabled, the page can also show activity stats beneath the title and description.
Members Directory Header
The Members Directory header controls the title and description shown at the top of the Members Directory page.
Available options:
- Show Members Header
- Members Header Title
- Members Header Description
Default text:
- Title: Members Directory
- Description: Discover and connect with our community members
In Business Mode, the Members Directory may use professional-focused wording when the directory is configured for professionals.
Bulletins Header
The Bulletins header controls the title and description shown at the top of the Bulletins area.
Available options:
- Show Bulletins Header
- Bulletins Header Title
- Bulletins Header Description
Default archive text:
- Title: Bulletins & Announcements
- Description: Stay updated with the latest news and important announcements.
Blog Header
The Blog header controls the title and description shown at the top of the main Blog page.
Available options:
- Show Blog Header
- Blog Header Title
- Blog Header Description
Default text:
- Title: Blog
- Description: Discover articles, insights, and updates from our community
Category and tag archive pages use the current category or tag name for their header instead of the custom Blog header title.
Live Room Header
The Live Room header controls the title and description shown at the top of the community Live Room template.
Available options:
- Show Live Room Header
- Live Room Header Title
- Live Room Header Description
Default text:
- Title: Live Room
- Description: Join live sessions and broadcasts from the community.
Video Archive Header
The Video Archive header setting controls whether the header area is shown on the video archive page.
Available option:
- Show Video Archive Header
The video archive title is configured from the video plugin settings, not from the Template Headers panel.
To change the video archive title:
- Go to VideoHub360 > Settings.
- Find Archive Page Header.
- Update Header Title.
- Save changes.
Events Header
The Events header controls the title and description shown at the top of the Events archive.
Available options:
- Show Events Header
- Events Header Title
- Events Header Description
Default text:
- Title: Community Events
- Description: Discover and join exciting events in our community
The Template Headers section also includes Events Per Page. This controls how many events display per page on the Events archive.
What Happens When a Header Is Disabled
When a template header is disabled, the page content still loads, but the top title/description header section is hidden or skipped for that template.
Use this when you want a cleaner page layout or when the page content already includes its own heading.
Troubleshooting
I changed a header title but the page did not update
Confirm you clicked Publish in the Customizer. Then refresh the page and clear any page cache if your site uses caching.
The Blog header title does not show on category or tag pages
Category and tag pages use the current category or tag name as the header title. The Blog header title applies to the main Blog page.
The Video Archive title is not in Template Headers
The Template Headers section controls whether the Video Archive header is shown. The Video Archive title is controlled under VideoHub360 > Settings > Archive Page Header.
A Gallery archive header is still showing
The Template Headers settings do not include a Gallery archive header option in this version. The Gallery archive uses its own archive heading.
