License & Updates

Licensing and Updates Guide

Applies to: Current VideoHub360 theme package

Activate the License

  1. Go to VideoHub360 → License.
  2. Enter the license details supplied with the product.
  3. Click the activation control.
  4. Confirm the screen reports an active license.

The license controls access to licensed features and customer-side updates. Studio and VH360 PWA & App display a locked state when the license is inactive.

Keep the Suite Aligned

Update the theme and bundled plugins as one product suite. In particular, keep these components compatible:

  • VideoHub360 theme
  • VideoHub360 Core
  • VH360 Studio
  • VideoHub360 Community
  • VideoHub360 Memberships
  • VH360 PWA & App
  • VideoHub360 Starter Sites

Core should remain active before Studio. Do not replace only one bundled plugin with a file from a different release unless the release instructions specifically direct you to do so.

Check for Updates

Use the normal WordPress Updates and Plugins screens. Licensed bundled products use the VideoHub360 update service and product map. Studio is included in that licensed update system.

Before updating a production site:

  1. Create a database and files backup.
  2. Record the current theme and plugin versions.
  3. Update in a staging site when possible.
  4. Test the dashboard, video playback, Studio, memberships, PWA installation, and any connected replay provider.
  5. Clear theme, page, CDN, and browser caches after the update.

License Status and Studio

Studio requires:

  • VideoHub360 Core active
  • VH360 Studio active
  • an active VideoHub360 license
  • a user role allowed by VH360 Theme → Permissions → Host Live Rooms

Administrators retain access through the administrator bypass, but an inactive product license still locks licensed Studio features.

Troubleshooting

The license is active but a feature remains locked

Reload the license screen, clear theme and page caches, and confirm the required plugin is active. For Studio, confirm Core is active and the user has Host Live Rooms permission.

An update is not offered

Confirm the license is active, the site can make outbound HTTPS requests, and the installed product slug matches the official bundled plugin. Check again under Dashboard → Updates.

Studio and Core show different behavior after an update

Confirm both components came from the same release package. Restore the compatible versions or install the complete current update set.
