Privacy and Consent Setup
Privacy and Consent Setup
Go to VideoHub360 → Privacy & Consent to configure the centralized consent system.
Consent Mode
Choose one of the following modes:
Disabled
VideoHub360 does not display a consent interface or restrict optional VideoHub360 features.
Use this mode when another consent plugin is responsible for consent management.
Notice Only
Displays an informational notice with an Acknowledge button.
Optional VideoHub360 features are not blocked.
Opt-Out
Preferences, Analytics, and Advertising begin enabled.
Visitors can disable optional categories through the preference panel.
Global Privacy Control still disables Advertising.
Strict Opt-In
Preferences, Analytics, and Advertising remain disabled until the visitor grants consent.
Necessary functionality remains active.
Consent Categories
Necessary
Always active.
Necessary functionality includes core site operation, authentication, security, PWA service-worker operation, installed navigation, Studio production, livestreaming, recording, and replay publishing.
Preferences
Controls nonessential remembered settings and third-party preference-based integrations.
This can include:
- Remembered interface choices
- PWA install-prompt timing and dismissal
- Push-provider initialization
- Studio workspace preferences
- Remembered quality or layout selections
Analytics
Controls supported VideoHub360 analytics and ad-click measurement.
Advertising
Controls supported personalized advertising behavior.
Contextual advertising can display without Advertising consent.
Policy Settings
Configure the following fields:
- Policy Version
- Consent Expiration Days
- Banner Heading
- Banner Description
- Privacy Policy Page
- Privacy Policy URL
- Accept All Text
- Reject Optional Text
- Manage Preferences Text
- Save Preferences Text
- Privacy Choices Text
- Persistent Privacy Choices Control
- Banner Position
A custom Privacy Policy URL takes precedence over the selected Privacy Policy page.
Increase the Policy Version when visitors must make new choices after a policy change.
Banner Position
Choose:
- Top
- Bottom
The banner position affects the consent notice only.
Privacy Choices Control
Enable the persistent Privacy Choices control to let visitors reopen their consent preferences.
You can also place this shortcode on a page:
The shortcode displays a Preferences button only when the consent mode is Opt-Out or Strict Opt-In.
It does not display in Disabled or Notice Only mode.
Global Privacy Control
When a visitor uses a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal:
- Advertising is forced off.
- The preference panel displays a Global Privacy Control notice.
- The visitor cannot enable Advertising while that signal is active.
Activity Feed Advertising
Activity Feed ad slots can be classified as:
- Contextual
- Personalized
Contextual ad content can display without Advertising consent.
Personalized ad content waits until Advertising consent is granted.
Ad-click measurement requires Analytics consent.
Push Notifications
When consent is enabled:
- The third-party push provider waits for Preferences consent.
- Browser notification permission remains a separate browser action.
- The visitor must still choose to subscribe.
Granting Preferences consent does not automatically grant notification permission.
PWA Behavior
The following remain Necessary:
- Web app manifest
- Service worker
- Offline fallback
- Installed navigation
- Core installability
Remembered install-prompt timing and dismissal are controlled by Preferences.
Studio Behavior
The following remain available without Preferences consent:
- Camera and microphone access
- Livestreaming
- Studio scenes and sources
- Recording
- Replay publishing
Browser permission for the camera and microphone remains separate from consent.

It does not guarantee legal compliance and does not automatically block or classify every unrelated third-party plugin, embed, script, pixel, advertising service, or tracking service added to the site.
