Footer Customizer Guide

Open Footer Settings

In the WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance → Customize → Footer Settings.

This section controls the footer text options.

Update the Copyright Text

Use the Copyright Text field to change the copyright message shown in the footer.

After editing the text, publish the Customizer changes.

Show or Hide Developed By Text

Use the Show Developed By option to control whether developed-by text appears in the footer.

Update Developed By Text

If developed-by text is enabled, use the Developed By Text field to customize the text.

Publish and Test

1. Update the footer settings.
2. Publish the Customizer changes.
3. View the frontend footer.
4. Confirm the footer text displays correctly.

Troubleshooting

Footer text did not change

Confirm the Customizer changes were published and clear cache.

Developed-by text still appears

Return to Footer Settings and confirm the show/hide option is set correctly.

Footer menu links are missing

Go to Appearance → Menus and confirm a menu is assigned to the Footer Menu location.
