Local Media Replay Fallback

Purpose

Local Replay Fallback stores the finished replay in the WordPress Media Library and serves it from the site’s hosting environment. It is enabled under VideoHub360 → Studio → Local Media fallback enabled.

Appropriate Use

Use it for short recordings, development, testing, or when a cloud provider is temporarily unavailable. Public playback is not limited to administrators merely because the file is stored locally.

Limitations

Long recordings can exceed PHP upload/post limits, disk space, backup capacity, request timeouts, or hosting bandwidth. Local delivery can also perform worse than a dedicated video platform.

Before Publishing

Review Server Readiness Checks, Maximum Studio recording upload size, free disk space, uploads/temp path writability, and the host’s media-delivery limits.

Cleanup

Temporary recording chunks are removed according to the configured retention window. The published Media Library attachment remains until it is deliberately removed according to the site’s media policy.
