Bible Library and Scripture Overlays

Applies to: Current VideoHub360 theme package

Purpose

The Bible Library stores complete Bible translations for use in Studio scripture overlays. Studio reads imported verses from its database tables; it does not parse the CSV during a live production.

Open the Bible Library

Go to VideoHub360 → Bible Library. Only administrators can manage translations.

The translation table shows the translation name, abbreviation, language, status, book count, verse count, dataset version, import date, source, license, attribution requirement, and available actions.

Prepare the CSV

The first row must be exactly:

Book,Chapter,Verse,Text

Each remaining row must contain exactly four columns:

  • Book: A recognized Bible book name.
  • Chapter: A positive chapter number.
  • Verse: A positive verse number. A single-letter verse suffix is supported when present in the dataset.
  • Text: The verse text in valid UTF-8.

The importer accepts complete 66-book translations. A completed import must contain all 66 books and at least 25,000 present verses.

Enter Translation Metadata

Complete these fields before importing:

  • Translation key: A unique key of no more than 64 characters.
  • Translation name
  • Abbreviation
  • Language
  • Dataset source
  • License name
  • Dataset version

Source URL and license URL may also be supplied.

Enable Attribution is required by this license only when the source license requires attribution. When enabled, attribution text is required, is limited to 500 characters, and is displayed on Bible overlays.

Select I confirm permission to use this file before starting the import. Import only material you are legally permitted to store and display.

Import a Translation

  1. Go to VideoHub360 → Bible Library.
  2. Complete the translation metadata.
  3. Select the CSV file.
  4. Confirm permission to use the file.
  5. Click Import translation.
  6. Monitor the Import Jobs table until the job completes.

The job table reports processed, imported, omitted, and failed rows. Use the available job action to continue an interrupted import. Cancel and clean a failed job before uploading a corrected file when necessary.

An import is not installed until validation succeeds. Validation fails when the CSV header is wrong, rows are malformed, books are unrecognized, the translation is incomplete, or the minimum verse count is not met.

Manage Installed Translations

  • Disable: Removes the translation from Studio selectors without deleting its verses.
  • Enable: Returns a disabled translation to Studio selectors.
  • Delete: Deletes the translation and all stored verses.

Deleting a translation is permanent. Confirm that no saved Studio cues depend on it before deletion.

Load Scripture in Studio

  1. Open Studio.
  2. Open Overlays → Bible.
  3. Select an enabled translation.
  4. Enter a reference and click Load Reference, or select the book, chapter, start verse, and end verse and click Load Selected Passage.

A resolved passage can contain up to 50 verses. Use a shorter selection when the reference is too large.

Customize the Overlay

Choose a template:

  • Lower Band
  • Scripture Card
  • Full-Width Scripture Panel

Configure the position, scale, background color and opacity, scripture color, reference color, text alignment, verse-number display, reference display, translation-abbreviation display, and maximum lines per page.

When the selected translation requires attribution, Studio preserves the required attribution display.

Page a Long Passage

Studio divides long passages into pages according to the maximum-lines setting. Use Previous Preview Page and Next Preview Page to select the page staged in Preview.

Save and Use Cues

  1. Load and style a passage.
  2. Enter a cue name.
  3. Save the cue.
  4. Use Previous Cue or Next Cue to move through saved cues.
  5. Stage the selected cue in Preview.
  6. Take it to Program when ready.

Updating Preview does not change the active Program overlay until the overlay is taken to Program.

Troubleshooting

The CSV is rejected immediately

Confirm the first row is exactly Book,Chapter,Verse,Text and every data row contains exactly four columns.

The import fails validation

Confirm the dataset contains all 66 recognized books and at least 25,000 present verses. Review failed and omitted row counts in the Import Jobs table.

A translation does not appear in Studio

Confirm its status is installed, not disabled, then reload Studio.

Required attribution is missing

Edit the source data and reimport the translation with Attribution is required by this license enabled and attribution text supplied.
