Creating and Managing Videos

Creating and Managing Videos and Lessons

Applies to: Current VideoHub360 theme package

Choose the Correct Workflow

Use Videos → Add Video or Lessons → Add Lesson for on-demand content. Use Studio for a new livestream, recording, and replay workflow. Do not use the VOD form as the normal way to create a Studio livestream.

Administrators can also create content from VideoHub360 → Add New Video.

Open the Frontend Form

  1. Open the frontend Dashboard.
  2. Select Videos or Lessons.
  3. Click Add Video or Add Lesson.

The form is available only to users who have Create Videos permission and any required active membership.

Enter the Content Details

Complete the fields that apply to the content:

  • title
  • full description
  • short description or excerpt
  • thumbnail or featured image
  • categories and tags
  • video source or playback data
  • publication status
  • course and lesson fields when course features are enabled
  • advertising fields when the Ad Settings section is enabled
  • advanced fields when the Advanced Settings section is enabled

Choose a Video Source

Depending on the form and Core configuration, a VOD entry can use an uploaded file, a direct video URL, a supported external video URL, or custom embed data. Use a publicly reachable playback source. Custom embed data takes precedence where the player explicitly supports it.

Frontend file upload availability, maximum size, and allowed formats are controlled under VH360 Theme → Add Video Form. These limits apply to the main video form and are separate from Activity Feed photo/video upload limits.

Course and Lesson Content

When course features are enabled, the form can use lesson terminology and course-related fields. Assign the correct course, ordering, preview/access behavior, and any product or membership relationship required by the course setup.

Edit or Delete Content

Open Videos or Lessons in the dashboard. Use the available Edit, View, or Delete action. Users can manage only content allowed by ownership and permission rules. Administrators can manage all entries from VideoHub360 → All Videos.

Livestream Replays

A Studio recording is published through the Studio replay workflow. When a live video post already exists, Studio normally updates that original post into the replay destination so the URL, chat history, and livestream context remain together.

Troubleshooting

Add Video is missing

Confirm the user has Create Videos permission, the membership gate is satisfied, and the Videos or Lessons dashboard item is present.

Upload is disabled or rejected

Check VH360 Theme → Add Video Form, the allowed file format, the configured maximum, and the server’s PHP upload and post limits.

The wrong player appears

Review the source fields on the video. Remove obsolete or conflicting custom embed data when a direct playback source should be used.

I want to create a live broadcast

Open Studio. Live Rooms and YouTube Live Auto-Broadcast are separate workflows described in their own guides.
