Sidebar and Layout Guide
Applies to: Current VideoHub360 theme package
Container Width
Go to Appearance → Customize → Global Design → Layout Options to set the theme container width used by supported layouts.
Global Sidebar Defaults
Go to Appearance → Customize → Global Design → Layout / Sidebar.
For each supported content type, select:
- No Sidebar
- Left Sidebar
- Right Sidebar
Then choose the registered sidebar that should appear.
The available groups are:
- Pages: Sidebar Layout and Pages: Default Sidebar
- Posts: Sidebar Layout and Posts: Default Sidebar
- Products: Sidebar Layout and Products: Default Sidebar, when WooCommerce is active
- Archives: Sidebar Layout and Archives: Default Sidebar
Add Sidebar Content
Go to Appearance → Widgets and add widgets to the sidebar selected for each content type. Selecting a sidebar in the Customizer does not populate it.
Per-Content Overrides
The global settings are defaults. A page or post can use its own supported layout/sidebar selection when an individual override is available in its editor.
VideoHub360 Layouts
VideoHub360 Core has separate single-video and video-archive display defaults under VideoHub360 → Settings. Player placement and VideoHub360 content layout are not controlled by the theme’s general WordPress sidebar defaults.
Dashboard, Production Studio, and Mobile Live use application layouts. Do not force a standard blog sidebar into those screens.
Test the Layout
- Publish the Customizer settings.
- Check a normal page, blog post, category or tag archive, and WooCommerce product when applicable.
- Confirm the selected widget area contains the expected widgets.
- Test desktop, tablet, mobile browser, and installed PWA layouts.
- Confirm sidebars, sticky elements, footer content, and mobile navigation do not overlap.
