Feed Tabs

The Activity template includes two feed views:

  • My Feed — shows posts from people the logged-in user follows and includes the user’s own posts.
  • Explore — shows the general community feed.

Explore is the default feed view.

Posting to the Activity Feed

Logged-in users can create posts directly from the Activity page.

They can:

  • Write a text update.
  • Upload a photo if photo uploads are enabled.
  • Upload a video if video uploads are enabled.
  • Like posts.
  • Comment on posts.
  • Share posts.
  • Edit or delete their own posts.

Logged-out visitors can view the feed, but they do not see the post composer and must log in to comment.

Membership Access

If the paid membership system is enabled and Activity Feed is selected as a gated platform feature, non-members will see the membership gate instead of the Activity feed.

To check this setting:

  1. Go to VH360 Theme → Paid Membership.
  2. Find the platform feature gating options.
  3. Check whether Activity Feed is selected.
  4. Save changes if needed.

Test the Activity Template

After setup, test the page as both an administrator and a regular customer account.

Confirm that:

  • The Activity page uses the Activity Feed template.
  • The header title and description display correctly.
  • The feed loads on the page.
  • Logged-in users can create a post.
  • Media upload options match the Activity Feed upload settings.
  • My Feed and Explore both load.
  • The sidebar displays the correct widgets.
  • Membership gating works if Activity Feed gating is enabled.

Troubleshooting

Go to VH360 Theme → Activity Feed and confirm Enable Tracking is turned on.
