User Roles and Permissions

User Roles and Permissions Guide

Applies to: Current VideoHub360 theme package

Open Permissions

Go to VH360 Theme → Permissions. Administrators always have all listed permissions and cannot be removed from the administrator bypass.

Available Permission Groups

Assign WordPress roles for:

  • Create Posts
  • Create Videos
  • Host Live Rooms
  • Create Events
  • Create Bulletins
  • Create Galleries
  • Publish Galleries
  • Upload Images / Media
  • Manage Bulletin Banners

Host Live Rooms also controls access to the frontend Studio. A user who should operate Production Studio or Mobile Live must satisfy this permission in addition to the Studio license and plugin requirements.

Roles allowed to create Bulletins or Galleries automatically receive the media capability needed for those workflows. Use Upload Images / Media to grant uploads to additional roles.

Permissions Are Not the Same as Other Access Systems

A user may still be blocked by:

  • professional approval status
  • account type
  • active membership gate
  • template visibility requiring login
  • feature disabled in settings
  • inactive product license
  • missing required plugin
  • content ownership restrictions

Granting a role permission does not override these systems.

Recommended Test

Create a test account for each role used by the site. Verify the Dashboard menu, direct URL access, form submission, media upload, publishing state, and Studio access. Do not test only with an administrator because administrators bypass role restrictions.
