User Roles and Permissions Guide

Open Permissions

In the WordPress dashboard, go to VH360 Theme → Permissions.

This screen controls who can use supported community features.

Review Feature Permissions

Use the Permissions screen to control access to available feature areas such as community posting, events, galleries, and related frontend actions.

Only enable permissions for user types that should have access.

Review Template Visibility Separately

Permissions control who can use features.

Template Visibility controls whether certain pages require login.

For page access, go to VH360 Theme → Template Visibility.

Review Paid Membership Access Separately

Paid membership gating is managed under VH360 Theme → Paid Memberships.

Use Permissions for feature permissions and Paid Memberships for paid access rules.

Test Permissions

  1. Save permission changes.
  2. Log in as a user who should have access.
  3. Test the feature.
  4. Log in as a user who should not have access.
  5. Confirm the feature is hidden or blocked.

Troubleshooting

A user cannot access a feature

Review VH360 Theme → Permissions and confirm the correct permission is enabled.

A page is blocked before permissions are checked

Review VH360 Theme → Template Visibility to see whether the page requires login.

A paid feature is blocked

Review VH360 Theme → Paid Memberships and confirm the user has the required active membership.
