Advanced Settings
Advanced Settings Guide
Applies to: Current VideoHub360 theme package
Open Advanced Settings
Go to VH360 Theme → Advanced. Create a backup before importing, resetting, or repairing data.
Debug Settings
- Debug Mode shows additional theme troubleshooting information.
- Error Logging enables theme-function logging.
- Show Deprecated Notices displays notices for deprecated theme functions.
Keep these disabled on a normal production site unless troubleshooting requires them.
Cache Settings
Transient Expiration controls how long theme data is cached, within the allowed range shown on the screen. Clear All Theme Cache removes theme transients and cached data. Use it after changing settings when the frontend still shows older values.
This does not automatically purge a page-cache plugin, hosting cache, CDN cache, browser cache, or installed-PWA service-worker cache.
Repair Course Ownership Metadata
This repair finds courses without an explicit Course Owner and assigns one from the public instructor or the first lesson author as a fallback. Run it only when course ownership data is missing or after importing older course content. Review affected courses afterward.
Export and Import Theme Options
Export Theme Options JSON downloads the theme-admin option groups. Import Theme Options JSON overwrites the corresponding current option values.
Use this format only with the Theme Options importer. It is different from the Customizer export.
Export and Import Customizer Settings
Export Customizer JSON downloads Customizer theme modifications. Import Customizer JSON overwrites the current Customizer configuration.
Use this format only with the Customizer importer. After import, publish or reload the Customizer and clear caches.
Reset All Theme Settings
The Danger Zone reset restores theme settings to defaults. It does not delete posts or pages, but it changes site configuration and cannot be undone through the screen. Export both settings formats and back up the database first.
Database Information
The Database Information table shows the theme option names and stored sizes. Use it to identify unexpectedly large option values. Do not delete options directly unless instructed by support or a verified migration procedure.
Troubleshooting
Imported settings do not appear
Confirm the correct JSON type was used, clear theme and external caches, reassign menus if necessary, and check required plugins.
The site changed unexpectedly after an import
Restore the previous export or database backup. Theme Options and Customizer imports overwrite their respective current values.
