Connections and Following Guide

Current Following System

VideoHub360 uses follow relationships between member profiles. There is no standalone Connections page or Connections template.

A public profile can show:

• follower count
• following count
• Followers tab
• Following tab
• Follow or Unfollow button

The Members Directory can also show follow controls when enabled.

Enable Profile Follow Controls

1. Go to VH360 Theme → Profile Settings.
2. Enable the profile system.
3. Enable Statistics when follower totals should be displayed.
4. Enable Follow Button when logged-in users should be able to follow other members.
5. Save the settings.

The follow button does not appear on the current user’s own profile.

Follow or Unfollow a Member

A logged-in user opens another member’s profile and uses the Follow or Unfollow control. The follower and following totals update from the stored relationship.

View Followers and Following

Open a public profile and select the Followers or Following tab. Count links in the profile header can open the corresponding list when the current profile layout supports them.

Direct Messaging Relationship Rules

When direct messaging is configured to require mutual follows, both users must follow each other before a new conversation can be started. This setting does not change the public follower lists.

Troubleshooting

The follow button is missing

Confirm Profile Settings → Follow Button is enabled, the visitor is logged in, and the visitor is viewing another user’s profile.

Followers or Following tabs are empty

Confirm the profile has stored follow relationships and that the current profile display mode includes those tabs.

A guide tells me to create a Connections page

Do not create one. That older workflow has been retired; following is integrated into public profiles.
